Nesse episódio Ares o deus da guerra se mostra uma entidade incorpórea e possui Atalanta numa tentativa de assassinar seu meio irmão Hércules , no entanto o semideus é capaz de arremessar Atalanta em um lago , sabendo que o corpo humano emergido na agua obriga a entidade se retirar dele , tal mãe , tal filho esse episódio exibe a mesma similaridade do telefilme " Hércules e as Amazonas " quando Hera possui Hipólita para matar seu enteado Hércules , tanto Hera quanto Ares apareceram como entidades incorpóreas com habilidade de possessão semelhante aos demônios do cristianismo .

Esse episódio é um tanto tenso ...
Uma das coisas que Hercules mais detestava, e combatia ferrenhamente, era a escravidão. A situação que havia em Apropus deixou-o revoltado, a ponto de se deixar capturar e até torturar para libertar os oprimidos.
E seu amigo Iolaus, leal como sempre, seguiu-o, mesmo passando também por maus-tratos nas mãos do feitor.
A cena em que ele foi levado à presença da esposa devassa de Maximus, e teve a camisa arrancada, foi de arrepiar ... uau!! E o desprezo com que se dirigiu a ela ... que espírito nobre!
A parte engraçada ficou por conta das "pérolas" de Iolaus.

E vamos encontrar o ator que interpretou Gladius, Tony Todd, novamente contracenando com Kevin em Andromeda (The Lone And level Sands - III Temporada).
