Plot Synopsis - season I

Season one of Gene Roddenberry's Andromeda begins as Captain Dylan Hunt (Kevin Sorbo) of the Systems Commonwealth high guard, is betrayed by his Nietzchean first officer Generis Rhade, whereupon Hunt and his starship, Andromeda Ascendant, are trapped in a black hole and left in frozen stasis for 300 years. During Hunt's long sleep, the Commonwealth collapses when the Nietzcheans declare war on their former allies in general and their hated enemies the Magog in particular. Awakening from suspended animation, Hunt finds that he and the Andromeda are under siege from the "Eureka Maru," a mercenary vessel captained by the beauteous Beka Valentine (Lisa Ryder), who has been hired to capture the Andromeda on behalf of the Nietzcheans. When she realizes that her "allies" plan to stab her in the back, Beka accepts Hunt's invitation to join him on the Andromeda and embark upon a mission to rally support for the restoration of the Commonwealth. Also going along for the ride are crew members Seamus Harper (Gordon Michael Woolvett), Trance Gemini (Laura Bertram), and Rev Bem (Brent Stait), the latter a Magog suffering the pangs of conscience over the bestial side of his nature. In addition, Hunt is backed up by Rommie (Lexa Doig), the sexy human manifestation of the Andromeda's artificial intelligence -- and, surprisingly, by maverick Nietzchean Tyr Anasazi (Keith Hamilton Cobb), whose loyalties fluctuate wildly throughout the season. In the season one finale, the Andromeda is attacked by the Magog, who capture Tyr and Harper and inject them with parasitical Magog larvae -- while Rommie, her memory accidentally wiped out, all but sells out everyone on the ship.

Plot Synopsis - season II

Season two of Gene Roddenberry's Andromeda picks up where season one left off, as Andromeda crew members Tyr (Keith Hamilton Cobb) and Harper (Gordon Michael Woolvett) are captured during a battle with the fearsome Magog and injected with millions of Magog eggs. They are rescued by their comrade in arms Rev Bem (Brent Stait), himself a Magog who has pretended to betray the Andromeda on behalf of his own race. Once this matter is settled, Rev decides to leave the Andromeda to embark upon a long soul-searching mission in order to cleanse himself of his race's more bestial tendencies. This leaves Captain Dylan Hunt (Kevin Sorbo) with one fewer crew member to help him rebuild the Commonwealth for its final confrontation with the Magog, but Hunt's loyal aides Harper (Gordon Michael Woolvett), Beka (Lisa Ryder), Trance (Laura Bertram), and humanized artificial intelligence Rommie (Lexa Doig) seem more than capable of facing up to the challenge. As for Nietzchean crew member Tyr (Keith Hamilton Cobb), his true loyalties are still very much in question. In the course of preparing for the last battle with the Magog -- not to mention the inevitable head-to-head against a new enemy, the Abyss -- the enigmatic Trance exchanges places with her older, wiser future self, ostensibly to strengthen the Andromeda's battle force, though Dylan Hunt wonders if the new Trance can be trusted. Season two ends on the eve of the signing of a new Commonwealth charter, as the Andromeda gears up to safeguard its allies from thousands upon thousands of phase-shifting warships from another universe. It is at this point that the present Trance confronts her time-shifting former self -- but to what end?

Plot Synopsis - season III

The Commonwealth is restored, and the crew of Andromeda Ascendant is freed up to embark upon random goodwill and rescue missions, as Gene Roddenberry's Andromeda launches its third season. For the most part eschewing the story arcs of the previous two seasons, the series now contains more self-contained episodes -- a move inaugurated by new executive producer Bob Engels to make the series more user friendly for viewers unfamiliar with its multitude of subplots. Having lost track of one another in the extraterrestrial battle that ended season two, the crew of the Andromeda are rapidly relocated and reassembled: Captain Dylan Hunt (Kevin Sorbo), his second in command Beka Valentine (Lisa Ryder), engineer Seamus Harper (Gordon Michael Woolvett), pilot Trance Gemini (Laura Bertram), and mercurial Nietzchean crewman Tyr Anasazi (Keith Hamilton Cobb) -- not to mention Rommie (Lexa Doig), curvaceous human manifestation of Andromeda's artificial intelligence. Among the episodes worth noting this season are "What Happens to a Rev Deffered?," which briefly reunites the crew with their former comrade Rev Bem (Brent Strait), a highly religious member of the otherwise bestial Magog race. In the traditional season-ending cliffhanger, the Andromeda crew is jeopardized when a group of Nietzcheans take over the ship -- whereupon Tyr Anasazi reveals his true colors, a fateful moment that may radically alter the course of everyone's future.

Plot Synopsis - season IV	by Hal Erickson
Largely abandoning the self-contained episodes of the previous season and returning to the complex story arcs so beloved of the series' biggest fans, Gene Roddenberry's Andromeda launches its fourth season in syndication. Despite the idealistic efforts of Dylan Hunt (Kevin Sorbo), captain of the starship Andromeda Ascendant, the New Commonwealth is collapsing under the weight of corruption and being undermined by friends and enemies alike. Although Hunt's crew could, if they wished, remain safely on solid ground, they finally agree to help Hunt salvage what is left of the Commonwealth -- and to do this, the Andromeda must hopscotch through slipstreams to various alternate universes in order to enlist allies in the Great Cause. And they'd better hurry: there is an impending apocalypse hanging over the proceedings throughout the season. The year's pivotal episode is "Soon the Nearing Vortex," in which former crew member Tyr (Keith Hamilton Cobb), now aligned with the enemies of the commonwealth, launches a campaign to unite and rule all Nietzchean prides and thereby control the universe. Tyr not only hopes to steal the Route of Ages, the guide to all existing slipstreams, but he intends to win Hunt's second-in-command Beka (Lisa Ryder) over to his side. The treacherous Tyr is foiled with the help of Telemachus Rhade (Steve Bacic), isolationist leader on the "Old Commonwealth" planet Terazed -- and the look-alike descendant of Generis Rhade, the selfsame scoundrel who during the series' first season betrayed Hunt and left him in a state of suspended animation for 300 years. Despite his inherent distrust of Telemachus, Hunt ultimately invites him to join the Andromeda crew. At the same time, the enigmatic Trance (Laura Bertram) reveals herself to be an avatar of the sun, with the ability to disintegrate her comrades in order to rescue them when danger threatens, then reintegrate them when the danger passes. The season ends with dissension in the ranks of the Andromeda, as the crew expresses disillusionment over the fact that Hunt's dreams of restoring the Commonwealth have not come to pass. The various crew members separate to pursue their own destinies, leaving Dylan and Trance alone to fight off a new Magog attack all by themselves -- but Dylan may be predestined to be the sole survivor!

The fifth and final season of Gene Roddenberry's Andromeda opens as Captain Dylan Hunt (Kevin Sorbo) emerges from a three-year limbo to answer a call from his former second-in-command Beka (Lisa Ryder). He discovers that his once-proud starship, the Andromeda Ascendant, is now a derelict, and that Beka and the other crew members Rhade (Steve Bacic), Harper (Gordon Michael Woolvett), and Trance (Laura Bertram) couldn't care less. In fact, they are quite adjusted to being trapped on a woebegone planet in the Seefra solar system, far away from the Known Planets of the New Commonwealth. Thus it behooves Hunt to not only reassemble his crew in order to return to the Commonwealth universe, but also to win their trust and friendship all over again. Missing from the equation is Rommie, the sexy human manifestation of Andromeda's artificial intelligence, who had been destroyed in battle at the end of season four (actually, actress Lexa Doig was on maternity leave, and could only appear in close-ups as the "televised" version of Rommie). In her stead, Harper has assembled another attractive female android named Doyle (Brandy Ledford), who has been invested with the fragments of Rommie's personality -- and who is considerably put out when she realizes she is little more than a clone. Having experienced flashbacks to his troubled past in previous seasons, Hunt is now made privy to his lofty future as a powerful Paradine, making it all the more imperative to get the Andromeda up and running and back in the galaxy, the better to locate the slipstream that will bring it back to the Known Planets. It takes a lot of doing, but ultimately Dylan's old crew agrees to help him reactivate the Andromeda, whereupon they embark on numerous goodwill and rescue missions to the other eight Seefra planets. Gene Roddenberry's Andromeda reaches closure as the Avatars of the Nebula guide Andromeda back on the Route of Ages and toward the safety of the Commonwealth -- where the crew must gird itself for the final all-out battle against their traditional enemies, the Nietzcheans.

Season 1, Episode 1: Under the Night

The Commonwealth vessel Andromeda, captained by Dylan Hunt, responds to an urgent distress call to find itself lured into a trap. Nietzschean warships surround them and open fire. Captain Hunt, in a last ditch effort, evacuates the ship and maneuvers toward a nearby black hole. Hunt's first officer, Rhade, a Nietzschean himself, betrays Hunt and attempts to kill him, but Hunt perseveres, killing Rhade in the process. Time dilation near the black hole slows time for the Andromeda and Dylan until a freighter tows it out 300 years later. Dylan now must fight off the band of scavengers attempting to claim his ship as salvage.

Season 1, Episode 2: An Affirming Flame

Captain Dylan Hunt attempts to drive the invaders from his ship. He manages to scare Gerentex off, but he leaves many of his employees behind. He takes the Maru and uses it to send the Andromeda, still without engine power, on a course back into the black hole. The remaining scavengers work with Dylan to regain engine control and break free from the gravity well. Once free, they regain control of the Maru from Gerentex and Dylan invites the survivors to join his crew and reestablish the Commonwealth.

Season 1, Episode 3: To Loose the Fateful Lightning

The crew find an old Highguard Space Station inhabited by the teen aged decedents of the original crew. The want to rebuild the Commonwealth, by destroying opposing forces, and they have the nova bombs to do it. Andromeda's crew must show them what the real Commonwealth is about. Harper finishes building Rommie, the Andromeda's Avatar.

The crew is attacked by the Restorers. The crew is still learning to work together. There is confusion about the chain of command, causing more issues. They must learn to work together to survive.

The Andromeda tries to help in a conflict between the Than and a Nietchean pride. Tyr, the last of his pride is offered a chance to join with the pride and a bride. Will his side with his people or with the Andromeda.

Season 1, Episode 6: Angel Dark, Demon Bright

Trance tries to pilot the Andromeda through slipstream, and the crew ends up traveling back in time, to the time just before the Commonwealth fell. The crew must decide whether to take actions that could endanger the future.

Season 1, Episode 7: The Ties That Blind

Answering a distress call from a Wayist vessel, Beka is surprised to find her brother aboard. Most of the crew seem suspicious of the pair of newcomers, most of all Rafe Valentine, given his sleazy history. When he steals the Maru to visit a monastery, Beka's warnings seem to be true. However, when she finds him at a Wayist monastery, she believes that he really has turned a new leaf.

Season 1, Episode 8: The Banks of the Lethe

When Andromeda runs experiments on a black hole, Dylan sends a message into the black hole saying goodbye to his loved ones. The message is received by the woman he left behind, 300 years earlier, a side affect of the experiment. When they find a way to transport him back to that time, he knows he cannot stay and prevent the fall of the Commonwealth. But can he bring his fiancée with him to his new time?

Season 1, Episode 9: A Rose in the Ashes

While attempting to get the Arazians to rejoin the Commonwealth, he is arrested for sedition and sentenced to life imprisonment. In prison, he is forced to defeat a Magog prisoner in battle to win his share of the food. He wins the respect of the woman who appears to be in charge and finds Romy caged. Meanwhile, the crew of the Andromeda is anxious to find their captain.

Season 1, Episode 10: All Great Neptune's Ocean

Original Air Date—15 January 2001
A chancellor visits the Andromeda, Tyr disrupts his visit by bringing up some past deeds the chancellor committed against Nietzscheans. Dylan orders Tyr to apologize, as Tyr visits the chancellor, the chancellor is killed and Try is found unconscious. Andromeda's crew must find the culprit.

Season 1, Episode 11: The Pearls That Were His Eyes

Upon nearing El Dorado Station, Beka receives a message from her "Uncle Sid", who seems to be be in urgent trouble. She goes to meet him, with Trance in tow; meanwhile, the men on Andromeda attempt to sell what they don't need in order to buy new parts. Beka finds Sid calling himself "Sam Proffit" and running TransGalactic, one of the largest shipping companies in the galaxy.

Season 1, Episode 12: The Mathematics of Tears

While Trance has taken an unannounced vacation, Dylan and the rest of the crew investigate the remains of a derelict High Guard starship, the Pax Magellanic. There they find the last of the crew over 300 years old, but seemingly unaffected by age. They claim that it is due to radiation from the destroyed planet nearby and since their slipstream drive was irreparably damaged, they have remained in the asteroid ruins of the planet.

Season 1, Episode 13: Music of a Distant Drum

Tyr has lost his memory. He is befriended by a small family. Some Nietchiens arrive searching for Tyr and what he stole from them. Tyr must figure out what their after, and regain his memory.

Season 1, Episode 14: Harper 2.0

Original Air Date—12 February 2001
After Harper is attacked by a dying Perseid, he gains a level of intelligence much greater than usual. A bounty hunter arrives for the dead Perseid, and Dylan looks into why he was a wanted man. Unable to sleep, he begins to learn foreign languages, repair the ship, and invent new gadgets. The bounty hunter returns to recover the information the Perseid lost.

Season 1, Episode 15: Forced Perspective

Original Air Date—19 February 2001
A mission Dylan performed for the old common wealth comes to haunt him. He and his partner deposed a tyrannical despot on Mobius. His replacement turned out much worse, a person Dylan inadvertently put into power. The replacement is still alive. Now Dylan must eliminate his replacement, or is there another way?

Season 1, Episode 16: The Sum of Its Parts

When the Andromeda passes through a debris field, the crew is surprised to find the debris forces its way into the ship and forms an android, who claims to come in peace, expecting a hug. He claims to represent the Consensus of Parts, a mythical mechanical culture from uncharted regions of space, and wishes to take the Andromeda to the "directing intelligence", which seems to be his superior. In an effort to gain a new ally for the New Commonwealth Dylan decides to make contact with the Consensus.

Season 1, Episode 17: Fear and Loathing in the Milky Way

While Trance and Harper are out on the Maru, they are surprised to find Gerentex aboard. He forces them into helping him resolve his debts. Harper manages to turn the tables on Gerentex and learns about his new scheme.

Season 1, Episode 18: The Devil Take the Hindmost

Dylan and Rev respond to a request for aid from Rev's former master. There Dylan prepares them for defending themselves against the bandits in the event that the Andromeda does not show up to scare them away. Rev's master is concerned about the effect that teaching them to kill will have on their children, as these humans have a genetic memory, passing down their memories to their children at birth.

Two Nietchean prides will form an alliance and free two systems if the Andromeda will escort the bride-to-be to her wedding.

Season 1, Episode 20: Star-Crossed

The Andromeda attempts to defend a freighter from a Restorian fighter, but in its last moments the fighter rams the freighter, destroying it and all 536 aboard. However unlikely, one escape pod escaped the explosion carrying a humanoid android named Gabriel, who claims to be a teacher fleeing from his oppressors. An admiral representing the Free Trade Alliance arrives offering information on the Restorian flagship, a refurbished Commonwealth destroyer. Dylan puts a plan into motion to destroy the flagship, while Andromeda's avatar develops a relationship with Gabriel.

Season 1, Episode 21: It Makes a Lovely Light

Harper overrides some of Andromeda's protocols to fake a reactor meltdown to spring a surprise party for Dylan on his birthday. Beka gives him a unique gift, the map to Tarn-Vedra, the Commonwealth capital of legend. There is anxiety among the crew as they prepare to begin their journey. Seamus and Beka share an interest in an item they believe to be located on the Vedran homeworld.

Season 2, Episode 1: The Widening Gyre

Dylan and Rommie go into the Magog World ship to rescue Tyr, Harper and Rev. He orders Beka to use the Nova Bomb to destroy the world ship in a few hours, even if it means he and the rest of the crew will be killed.

Season 2, Episode 2: Exit Strategies

Original Air Date—8 October 2001
Under attack from Nietzscheans, the Maru, bearing parts for the repair of the Andromeda, crash lands on an arctic planet. With the Andromeda still out of order, Harper struggles to cope with the Magog larvae living in his stomach while performing his normal duties.

While docked at Peirpont Drift, a cop recognizes Beka and Seamus and notes that they are wanted for various crimes, but for some reason does not arrest them. Meanwhile, Dylan tries to mediate a disagreement between the Than and an ally of the Free Trade Alliance.

A planet asks the Andromeda for help when its cargo vessels are attacked by unknown vessels. Trance goes down to the planet to find out more about the people, and ends up being interrogated about her past.

Season 2, Episode 5: Last Call at the Broken Hammer

The crew searches for people to organize the new Commonwealth. They search for Ortiz, who was able to organize a few systems then had to go into hiding. The crew must find/protect Ortiz.

Season 2, Episode 6: All Too Human

Original Air Date—5 November 2001
Harper, Rev, Tyr wait for Rommie in the Maru. Rommie's on a mission to find out about a new weapon being developed. Once their contact find out she's an AI, he becomes wary of Rommie. The AIs on the planet had revolted against their creators years ago.

Season 2, Episode 7: Una Salus Victus

Original Air Date—12 November 2001
In an effort to allow the Andromeda, and the unarmed fleet she is escorting, to pass through a Drago-Kazov controlled system, Dylan and Tyr assault a base controlling old High Guard turrets along the route. Along the way, one of the ships in the convoy gets lost, so Beka takes the Maru to find the lost sheep.

Season 2, Episode 8: Home Fires

The crew gets news of a colony that was formed when Dylan's Fiancee' escaped the fall of the Commonwealth. The colony has flourished. They have heard of the new Commonwealth. Some want to join, others feel they shouldn't. Some are willing to do anything to swing the vote their way.

Season 2, Episode 9: Into the Labyrinth

While the Andromeda is hosting a diplomatic conference, Harper encounters a reporter who is able to remove the Magog larvae from his guts. She offers to remove them all in exchange for the information Harper previously had downloaded into his brain. A high-ranking member of the Sabra-Jaguar pride arrives at the conference unannounced to join the Commonwealth.

Season 2, Episode 10: The Prince

The Royal family flee their planet when a coup starts. Andromeda manages to rescue one member of the royal family, a young prince. Andromeda escorts him back to his home world, where they hope to get him back on the throne. The prince asks Tyr and Dylan to act as his advisers. Each of them teach the young prince how to lead, which method will the prince choose in the end?

Season 2, Episode 11: Bunker Hill

Original Air Date—21 January 2002
The Sabra-Jaguar pride goes to war with the Drago-Kazov, pulling Dylan and the Andromeda along with them, as per the terms of the Commonwealth treaty. Harper receives a message from a friend on Earth pledging his support for driving the Drago-Kazov clan off of Earth. Harper attempts to get the crew of the Andromeda to head for Earth to liberate it, but Dylan refuses to take the Andromeda to Earth. Instead, Harper takes the Maru with Rommie in tow to help with the resistance.

Season 2, Episode 12: Ouroboros

Original Air Date—28 January 2002
The Magog eggs in Harper's belly are close to hatching. Harper and Hoone work on a device to bend time and space to extract the eggs. But the device has unforeseen consequences. Future selves, old allies, old/new enemies all collide on Andromeda.

Season 2, Episode 13: Lava and Rockets

Tyr and Dylan go out to buy supplies, when they're attack the separate. Only Tyr returns to the Andromeda. The attacker wanted Dylan. While Dylan tries to avoid the attacker, Tyr and Rommie locate Dylan.

Season 2, Episode 14: Be All My Sins Remembered

Beka receives news of a former crew-member's death and that she was named as his next-of-kin in his will. As they travel to claim his belongings, Harper and Beka tell Dylan more about their comrade.

Season 2, Episode 15: Dance of the Mayflies

Original Air Date—18 February 2002
Andromeda encounters a badly damaged vessel and rescues the survivors. They discover the Than had been attacking the vessel, and they return to finish the job. Then the causalities from the vessel come to life and try to infect the crew. Can the crew find a way to stop the attacks and keep the causalities down permanently?

Season 2, Episode 16: In Heaven Now Are Three

Beka leads Trance and Dylan on a quest for the Engine of Creation.

Season 2, Episode 17: The Things We Cannot Change

While investigating a black hole, the Maru suffers a hull breach with Dylan on board. He wakes up to find himself in bed with his wife, his son charging into the room excited about his ballgame. Meanwhile, the crew of the Andromeda attempt to recover Dylan and the Maru. Dylan has flashbacks to his time on the Andromeda, while his wife pressures him to retire from the High Guard.

Season 2, Episode 18: The Fair Unknown

Original Air Date—15 April 2002
The Andromeda finds a Calderan ship ravaged by what appears to be a Vedran, the creator race of the first Commonwealth. Dylan decides to find the Vedran on Ral Parthea, the nature reserve planet dear to the Vedrans.

Season 2, Episode 19: Belly of the Beast

Original Air Date—27 April 2002
Andromeda investigates a "mythical" beast that eats planets. They soon discover it's real and are promptly swallowed by the beast. With Dylan on the outside trying to figure out how to save his ship and crew, each member of the crew is plagued by doubts about their mission on board the Andromeda.

Season 2, Episode 20: The Knight, Death and the Devil

Andromeda gets word of a fleet of Highguard ships in Tartarus. Dylan, Rommie and Tyr go after Ryan, an AI with knowledge of the location. But Ryan has a history with the fleet, which creates difficulties when they finally locate the fleet. Beka, Harper, and Trance, work on get more worlds to join the Commonwealth.

Season 2, Episode 21: Immaculate Perception

The knights of Genetic purity start attacking a cluster of Nietchean prides. Andromeda tries to stop them. Tyr searches for Orca pride, Freya has given birth to his son, the genetic reincarnation of Drago Museveni. He'll do anything to protect them.

Season 2, Episode 22: Tunnel at the End of the Light

Original Air Date—13 May 2002
At finally achieving his goal of fifty parties willing to join the New Commonwealth, Dylan hosts the signing of the New Commonwealth charter on board the Andromeda. With all the delegates aboard, he takes them to a barren system to avoid any interference from outside sources, but does not succeed. He finds that Andromeda now has other passengers on board, who can phase through walls and make themselves invisible. Worse yet, these intruders seem intent on killing everyone on board, starting with the delegates. Trance reveals that when this happened before only she and Beka survived, but Dylan refuses to let anyone else be killed.

Season 3, Episode 1: If the Wheel Is Fixed

Dylan attempts to rescue Tyr and Beka by taking the Maru back towards the tunnel, but is forced to abandon it due to a large field of debris being sucked into the tunnel. When he returns, Beka and Tyr appear on Andromeda for no apparent reason. Now that her crew has been reunited, the Andromeda attempts to break free from the gravitational pull of the tunnel. During the attempt, Beka tries to slip too early, causing the Andromeda to be pulled into the tunnel. Dylan quickly takes control of the helm and pulls the ship out, but Tyr and Beka both seem to be acting strangely.

Andromeda receives a distress call from a freighter, and manages to get it into the docking bay, but it is venting oxygen and the bay doors are jammed open. Dylan and Tyr manage to save most of its crew from suffocation, but they all exhibit signs of brain damage. Their leader informs Dylan that they have escaped from a hellish slave world that no one has ever escaped from before.

Season 3, Episode 4: Cui Bono

Dylan and the Andromeda are ordered by the reformed High Guard to transport and protect a candidate for election to Second Triumvir in the New Commonwealth. To the crew's surprise the candidate is none other than Beka's "Uncle" Sid, a sneaky and sleazy "businessman" who used to work with her father. Both Beka and Dylan are concerned that Sid may become part of the ruling body of the New Commonwealth, but when they find Sid unconscious and bleeding in his office they are forced to protect him from his assailants.

While being chased by Ogami, the Maru is saved by a large ship that is primarily a giant engine. They take the Maru on board and reveal the ship to be the Bellerophon, a long lost starship from Earth.

Season 3, Episode 6: Slipfighter the Dogs of War

Trance mourns the loss of her relative, Mesmer, but in the middle of the ceremony the Andromeda is hit by many massive shockwaves, sending the ship reeling. They discover that the shockwaves emanated from a star going supernova, and signs point towards the use of a weapon similar to a nova bomb. The crew comes to the conclusion that Marduk, a rogue planet, is the source of the weapon, but the Andromeda needs help to achieve its goals.

Season 3, Episode 7: The Leper's Kiss

Another "founding father" of the New Commonwealth contacts Dylan to help in taking down a very deadly assassin named "the Leper" who is currently targeting him. He has Dylan keep this mission top secret, even from his superiors. In order to get information on the Leper's whereabouts Dylan promotes himself as an agent of the Leper looking to hire talent for a hit. He manages to catch the Leper's sister, Sasha, in his trap and milks her for information.

Season 3, Episode 8: For Whom the Bell Tolls

During a terrible solar storm, Dylan, in the Maru, is forced to leave Beka and Harper planetside. He manages to rescue them during a calm in the storm, and while being recovered by the Andormeda the trio discovers a stowaway creature from the planet devouring the Maru's electronics, starting with the guidance systems. Unable to stop the creature from moving to the Andromeda and reproducing, the crew must find the creatures before they permanently cripple the ship.

Season 3, Episode 9: And Your Heart Will Fly Away

An unknown armored man appears on the command deck of the Andromeda and proceeds to engage Dylan in combat with a katana. After Dylan comes out on top, Tyr leaves in Harper's new and improved slipfighter without a word. The Andromeda encounters a kilometer-tall version of Dylan that opens fire on the ship, but when the Andromeda retaliates the giant replica vanishes. Dylan investigates who attacked him and whom Tyr left to find.

Trance sees a probable future that results in the deaths of the entire crew and the destruction of the Andromeda. She trims a bonsai tree, resetting the scenario to try a different approach. An object approaches the Andromeda and is not swayed from its intended target, even by the Andromeda's defenses. A mysterious man in black armor appears before Harper, damaging systems he had just finished repairing then disappearing. He reappears on the bridge and kills Beka before disappearing again. Trance again trims her bonsai, again resetting the incident.

Season 3, Episode 13: The Risk-All Point

While on their way in the Maru to the launching of the first new Commonwealth starship in over three hundred years, Dylan, Beka, and Tyr rush ahead to warn the new battleship, the Crimson Sunrise, of an incoming Nietzschean battle group. They suspect that there is an agent on board the Sunrise, and their suspicions are confirmed when the engines go critical and the Sunrise is destroyed. Many on board the Sunrise survived in escape pods, but they discover the pods are leaking air. As they rescue the survivors, they also investigate the sabotage and realize that the saboteur may still be among them.

Season 3, Episode 14: The Right Horse

Beka is called as a character witness for a friend on a planet where lying and deception are punishable crimes. Dylan is away at a strategic defense summit. Beka manages to get into a fight with the authorities and demands to see her "friend". She and Tyr break him out of prison and hide him on board the Andromeda. He was under arrest for crimes against the defense conglomerate Techno-Core, but the crew of the Andromeda, especially Beka, believe him to be innocent.

The crew gets a message from Rev Bem, he's on a planet that's about to be destroyed. The Andromeda goes after the wayward Magog.

Season 3, Episode 16: Point of the Spear

A newly colonized planet of the Commonwealth comes under attack by Pyrian "pyroformers", but when Dylan destroys the machines, the Pyrian fleet arrives to defend its property. Dylan hopes to talk them out of their goals, but they are not deterred. Dylan is forced into a battle he did not want, one where he is outmatched.

Season 3, Episode 17: Vault of the Heavens

While in command of the Andromeda during the night shift, Harper decides to initiate a little race with a friendly Nietzschean vessel to the nearest slip-point. When he tries a trick he calls "Harper's Afterburner" to beat his rival to the slip-point and into slipstream he causes a malfunction in the engine that could cause the destruction of the Andromeda. The Andromeda receives a communication from a system thousands of light-years away, but the signal appears to be only a few days old. Dylan hears voices telling him to pursue the signal to its source on a planet of "Fire and Ice" and he takes the Andromeda to the source, traveling through hostile Nietzschean-controlled space to do so.

Season 3, Episode 18: Deep Midnight's Voice

The Andromeda gets caught in the middle of a battle between two Nietzschean prides, one of which is the Drago-Kazov. They manage to capture a hostile fighter from the unknown pride. He reveals that the Drago-Kazov believe that his pride has in its possession a legendary Nietzschean slip-scout, the Midnight's Voice, claimed to have mapped billions of transit points in the slipstream, as well as the slipstream itself. Dylan looks into the near-mythic tale of the Midnight's Voice while Tyr interrogates their Nietzschean captive.

Season 3, Episode 19: The Illusion of Majesty

After exiting a rather turbulent part of slipstream, the Andromeda finds itself in the middle of the Prolon system, an area full of radiation and dangerous materials, including corrosive waste. The Andromeda saves a hibernation capsule from destruction, but sustains heavy damage at the hands of its pursuers, who demand that Dylan return the inhabitant, their princess, to their custody.

Season 3, Episode 20: Twilight of the Idols

Andromeda encounters a group who has secretly been supporting them. Their leader claims to have a connection to the old Commonwealth. When Dylan hears the claims, he starts to have doubts.

Season 3, Episode 21: Day of Judgement, Day of Wrath

Tyr leaves the Andromeda while it is in dry-dock for repairs to seek out other survivors of his pride. Dylan and the rest of the crew remain to see off the newest Commonwealth battleship, the Resolution of Hector. The AI to be installed in the Hector was derived from Andromeda and the former AI of the Wrath of Achilles, who was destroyed in a prior mission. Matters become complicated when Romy leads a strike force to take control of the Resolution of Hector.

Season 3, Episode 22: Shadows Cast by a Final Salute

Tyr makes his move. He has convinced the Nietcheans he is the genetic reincarnation of Drago Museveni, the progenitor of his race. The Neitcheans break away from the Commonwealth. And he tries to force Dylan into a decision to save his crew by killing of the Drago Katzoff pride, or sacrifice the Andromeda and save the pride.

Season 4, Episode 1: Answers Given to Questions Never Asked

The crew encounters some ships, the remainders of the Commonwealth Fleet. The leaders went into hiding when the fighting broke out. They need to find them to restore order to the Commonwealth.

Season 4, Episode 2: Pieces of Eight

Original Air Date—6 October 2003
The governing body of the Commonwealth has voted "no-confidence" in triumvir Tri-Jema, she sends Dylan to get the Andromeda refitted and visit an augur, who is told to be infallible. This augur, dubbed Citizen Eight, aims to take Tri-Jema's place as triumvir and, according to the triumvir, remove Dylan from command of the Andromeda. The robots sent to the Andromeda to start pre-upgrade repairs turn against the crew, forcing Dylan and Harper to shut them down. Dylan must deal with Citizen Eight before he can bring down the Commonwealth from within.

Season 4, Episode 3: Waking the Tyrant's Device

Dylan is sent on a mission by a triumvir, but is not well informed of the danger he faces. After a haphazard reentry from slipstream, the Andromeda is captured by a gravity field projected from the moon that is the target of their mission. Dylan discovers that the moon is the base of Kroton, a half-human, half-android genius that created the Magog world-ship. Dylan attempts to take out Kroton along with the new weapon he has developed.

Season 4, Episode 4: Double or Nothingness

The Andromeda investigates the site of a reported Nietzschean attack on a Commonwealth battleship, but find no debris and no sign that any conflict occurred there, much less the reported destruction of a High Guard vessel. Dylan is invited by the Nietzschean rulers of the planet to visit and accepts, but in his descent a solar storm hits the planet, causing his escorts to fall behind. Dylan must deal with the Nietzscheans in order to uncover the truth of what happened in orbit.

Season 4, Episode 5: Harper/Delete

Andromeda comes between two Nietzschean siblings. One has the File D, a weapon that can eliminate higher brain functions. The other has her nephew hostage, she wants File D. The crew doesn't want either of them to have File D.

Tyr returns and he's sided with the Collectors against his former crew. He wants the map for the Route of Ages.

Season 4, Episode 7: The World Turns All Around Her

The collectors tell Tyr why they need the map for the Route of Ages. It's a map to the Abyss, and hopefully a way to contain it. Tyr has Beka and the crew has the map. Now it's a race to the Route of Ages. Tyr makes a deal with the Abyss, and a final confrontation will ensue.

After taking a wrong turn in slipstream, the Andromeda receives a distress call from a Commonwealth prison, experiencing a riot the likes of which thy have not seen before. Dylan and his crew quickly put down the rebellion, but Dylan keeps having flashbacks to the last time he was on this planet. Romy discovers that a now missing prisoner was not recorded in the logs, implying that she was a mole. Harper is shown the source of the planet's power and is told to bypass the ancient security system guarding it, so that the warden can keep it safe elsewhere. Meanwhile, Dylan and the others go in search of the missing prisoner.

Season 4, Episode 9: Machinery of the Mind

Harper is the key note speaker at a conference on dealing with the Magog threat. When a scientist is kidnapped, and others are killed, the crew must figure out who is responsible. Meanwhile Dylan is kidnapped by the Collectors, who make him an offer to join with them

The Andromeda encounter 2 ships with depleted engines and weapons. They come from a planet, where the two sides have been fighting for as long as anyone can remember. One side is suffering from a disease, they claim the other side is using biological weapons, but the other side says they didn't do it. When Dylan becomes infected, the crew must figure out the source of the virus to save the captain.

Season 4, Episode 15: Fear Burns Down to Ashes

Rev Bem contacts Andromeda, he knows of a weapon against the Abyss, he will only show Dylan, in person. Dylan is captured, and stranded on a warship, with no engines, and heading towards a black hole. The crew searches for him, and finds an unexpected ally in the form of a Collector.

Beka's recent behavior is explained. The Abyss has infected her, they must find a way to cure Beka, and free her of the Abyss.

Season 4, Episode 19: A Symmetry of Imperfection

Rommie has become too emotional, the Andromeda cuts off her access and runs a full diagnostic to bring the avatar under control, this takes away many of the ship's resources. The Magagog are attacking the crew must defend Andromeda without aide from the AI. Even if they succeed in defending the ship, they may lose Rommie.

A person posing as a Wayist is killed by agents of the Abyss. He's a man from Beka's past. The crew must find what her friend was after before the Abyss finds it.

Season 4, Episode 21: The Dissonant Interval: Part 1

The Andromeda rescues a defenseless ship from former Commonwealth fighters. The inhabitants are an Ambassador and his pilot, returning to Arkology from successful peace negotiations with the Magog on board the World-Ship. However, the treaty is revoked when the ambassador dies from the Magog hatching in his stomach. The pilot, a Nietzschean from a supposedly extinct pride, leads the Andromeda to Arkology, a place of peacefulness in all aspects of life, to warn them of the coming Magog attack.

Season 4, Episode 22: The Dissonant Interval: Part 2

Original Air Date—17 May 2004
With the Magog World-Ship at hand, Dylan must defend Arkology as one of the Paradine, beings said to have witnessed the creation of the universe. Beka makes her decision to leave the battle while she still can. Harper and Rommie attempt to get Arkology slip-capable again before the World-Ship destroys it.

Dylan finds Harper, he's not happy to see his former Boss. He's adjusted to life on Seefra. Soon he'll need Dylan's help to help him out of some trouble with one of his project. Dylan also finds another member of his crew.

Season 5, Episode 4: Decay of the Angel

Doyle is plagued by nightmares, and half remembered dreams of life on board the Andromeda. But she was never a member of the crew. One person notices her perceptions are off and realizes Doyle doesn't know who she really is and tries to get her to join with him and others of their own kind. Doyle will learn the truth of her origin, and why she feels at home on the Andromeda.

Season 5, Episode 5: The Eschatology of Our Present

Beka receives a message from Virgil Vox, the radio personality, concerning a secret from her past. She follows his instructions to a secluded community, where she impersonates a dead child, who would be about her age now. Her "father" reveals that he has been guarding a secret and that it is now time for him to pass it on to her.

A new woman arrives in town seeking Dylan's aid. She reveals that she was a Commonwealth scientist before it fell and that she is trapped in a time loop. Dylan attempts to save her from her fate and decipher the code that will restore Seefra to its proper alignment.

The return of Flavin sparks a conflict between two rival gangs over who gets his ship and the bounties within. Rhade and Harper play the two sides to make money off their enmity. Meanwhile Flavin leads Dylan on a journey to help him develop as a Paradine.

While Rhade are busy defending refugees on Seefra Five from the army of a local warlord, Dylan is surprised to find Hohne, the Perseid scientist lost and assumed dead during the problems with Haprer's tesseract machine, tesseract onto the command deck of the Andromeda. Hohne and Harper attempt to recreate the quantum teleporter in order to resupply the pinned-down refugees and during the reconstruction receive a message from the research station near the black hole where the device first worked.

Season 5, Episode 12: Pride Before the Fall

Beka's new boyfriend turns out to be more than she suspected. He will play an important role in the development of the original CommonWealth. Beka learns a secret that should help them if they can ever escape from Seefra.

Season 5, Episode 13: Moonlight Becomes You

Beka, Harper, Rhade, and Doyle are searching for Vedran treasure. They find a door that is rumored to hold inside a test that if passed will yield great wealth, but if failed will cause madness. Rhade opens the door and follows Beka inside, but Harper and Doyle are left behind as the door shuts behind the pair. Trance teleports to a carnival on Seefra Two to attempt to uncover more of her lost memories. Dylan goes in search of her, while Haprer and Doyle attempt to free Beka and Rhade.

Season 5, Episode 14: Past Is Prolix

Original Air Date—8 February 2005
Harper discovers a program built into the Seefra system that can destroy eight of the planets, likely as a defense mechanism. Dylan begins plans to evacuate the eight planets, but is interrupted by a new arrival through the Route of Ages. The rest of Trance has returned to remake Tarn-Vedra, but the mechanism designed to that is not working.

Season 5, Episode 15: The Opposites of Attraction

While Harper develops a way to save the Seefra system from its impending doom, a spy has slipped on board the Andromeda. Dylan, Rhade, and Trance all feel that someone who should not be aboard is, but cannot confirm their suspicions. Things turn south when the spy attacks Beka by opening a portal to open space inside the ship.

Season 5, Episode 16: Saving Light from a Black Sun

When the blinking sun of the Seefra system goes dark for an extended period of time Dylan takes the opportunity to study the workings of the artifice in the hopes of finding a way of fixing the broken sun. Harper discovers a maintenance protocol built into the sun by the Vedrans that will allow a further extended period of time to study the sun.

Season 5, Episode 17: Totaled Recall

Dylan is gravely wounded in a lab accident, but wakes up in the bar with Harper telling bad jokes. He is confronted by a man who is wielding Dylan's force-lances and delivers a cryptic message. After a quick fight with Dylan, the man drops to the floor without apparent cause, but returns in the guise of Rhade to catch Dylan off guard, killing him swiftly. Dylan awakens on med-deck but finds that he has returned just after the accident and does not remember Trance.

Season 5, Episode 18: Quantum Tractate Delirium

As Trance's sun closes on Seefra-9, Rommie is rebuilt by Doyle to help evacuate the planet.

Season 5, Episode 19: One More Day's Light

Dylan deals with the residents of Seefra One who are unhappy with the number of refugees arriving on their planet. While Beka evacuates Seefra Five she detects a ship full of Nietzscheans headed towards the dying planet; however there have never been any Nietzscheans in the Seefra system with the exception of Rhade. Harper and Rhade find the refugees they were supposed to pick up from Seefra Five killed by their former general.

Season 5, Episode 20: Chaos and the Stillness of It

Harper has been captured by General Burma, a man who believes all technology to be evil. Dylan struggles with recovering Harper, evacuating all the remaining Seefran planets to Seefra One, a.k.a. Tarn-Vedra, and dealing with Trance. Dylan supposes that something may have happened to Trance while inside Methus-2, the artificial sun they fixed and the last place Trance seemed to be herself, and goes to investigate.

Season 5, Episode 21: The Heart of the Journey: Part 1

Dylan and his crew deal with the survivors on Seefra One promising them that it will soon become like Tarn-Vedra once was. Harper works on getting the "low-tech" mechanism inside the planet to work properly, while Trance explores her new powers resulting from the re-establishment of her sun. She introduces Dylan to the group that her impersonator worked for, "the Nebula," a group of stars controlling all the galaxies, also an enemy of the Abyss.

Season 5, Episode 22: The Heart of the Journey: Part 2

The Earth explodes before Harper makes his visit, the Andromeda manages to save Harper from destruction and runs from a Nietzschean attack fleet coming from the ruins of the planet. Analyzing fragments of the destroyed planet, Romy finds radical isotopes, proof that the Abyss aided the Nietzscheans in the destruction of Earth. Dylan consoles Harper for his loss, then prepares for the battle against the joined Nietzschean fleet, comprised of the Drago-Kazov, Mandau, and Sabra-Jaguar fleets.
